Have You Hit a Brick Wall?


If you have hit a brick wall, our new book: 101 Brick Wall Busters: Solutions to Overcome Your Genealogical Challenges may have a suggestion or two you can use.  This book is a compilation of Family Tree Magazine experts' answers to readers toughest questions offering solutions for beginner through advanced Genealogists.  It covers Research Strategies, Records, and Ethnic Heritage as well as having a Records Checklist and Brick Wall Worksheet.  This book can be checked out, so you can take it home and work on those walls!

Are You a Mayflower Descendant?

Mayflower Descendant?

We have acquired the following books: Mayflower Births & Deaths From the Files of George Ernest Bowman: Volume 1 Families A - F and Volume 2 Families H - W.  Volume 1 contains information on the descendants of twelve Mayflower Families and Volume 2 contains eleven families.  These books contain approximately 50,000 ancestors.  Information in these volumes includes births, baptisms, deaths, and burials.  Where possible, the cemetery, cause of death, occupation and address at time of death is added.

Saturday, April 21, 12:00 - 5:30 at the Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library.  The Anna Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will host Mr. Don Raney, who will speak about "Revolutionary Ancestors" and "Early American Migration Routes",  Ms. Kit Amos will speak about "Finding Women Ancestors in the 18th Century" and Ms. Linda Sullivan will speak about how to join the DAR.

Funeral and Cemetery Directory and Upcoming Events

2012 Funeral Home and Cemetery Directory:  Have you contacted Funeral Homes or Cemeteries for information on your Ancestors?  Not sure how to contact them?  We have obtained the 2012 edition of the Funeral Home and Cemetery Directory.  This book contains a listing of Funeral Homes throughout the United States, Canada and some International Funeral Homes.  It also includes a listing of active cemeteries in the United States.  Daily Newspapers and Veteran Affairs Facilities are also included in this directory.
