Saturday, October 4, 10:30 a.m. at the Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library - 101 East Hunt Street.  The North Collin County Genealogical Society will be in the Genealogy Area of the Library to offer assistance.  Whether it's a Brick Wall you've hit, don't know how to get started, or are just interested in meeting with others with a similar interest come visit with Society members!  You don't have to have ancestors from Collin county or even Texas to take advantage of this FREE service.

Wednesday, October 8, 7:00 p.m. at the Haggard Library, - 2501 Coit Rd., Plano. The Collin County Genealogical Society hosts Carl Oehmann.  Mr. Oehmann will be speaking about "Unusual Techniques in researching World War II Records".  This event is FREE and open to all.

Thursday, October 9, 6:45 p.m. at the Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library - 101 East Hunt Street. The North Collin County Genealogical Society will host Ms. Connie Gray.  Ms Gray will be speaking on "One Person, Two Birth Certificates: The History of Adoption and Birth Certificates in the State of Texas".  This event is FREE and open to all.

Friday, October 17, 12:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. at the Haggard Library, - 2501 Coit Rd., Plano.  The Genealogy Center hosts a Genealogy Lock-In.  Spend the afternoon and evening researching at this 4th annual event featuring webinars, genealogy libraries from across Texas, one-on-one assistance, genealogy and history groups, and much more. This event is FREE and open to adults.

Saturday, October 18, 9:00 a.m. at the Plano Family History Center - 2700 Round Rock Trail, Plano.  The Family History Center presents the  "Great Family Search Conference".  Perfect your skills, share ideas, gather resources.
