Saturday, February 25 10:00 am - 3:00 pm Sam Bass Day at the Allen Depot 100 East Main Street. The Allen Heritage Guild is presenting a unique event which includes a reenactment of the first successful train robbery in Texas. The 1st successful Train Robbery in Texas occurred in Allen, TX, Feb. 22, 1878, by Sam Bass and his gang. Re-enactments throughout the afternoon (Noon, 1:30 & 2:30) by Allen High School students. Music of the era and author talk in the morning. Food and fun for the whole family. Historical art contest awards presented by "Ebenezer Allen" round out the day. This is a FREE event!Thursday, March 8 6:45 - 8:30 at the Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library 101 East Hunt Street. The North Collin County Genealogical Society will meet in the Dulaney Room. You do not have to be a member to attend.

Mr. Raney will be speaking about "Revolutionary Ancestors" and " Early American Migration Routes". Ms. Linda Sullivan of the DAR will be speaking on "The Mechanics of Joining the DAR or SAR".
