Thursday, May 8 at 6:45 p.m. in the Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library, 101 East Hunt Street, McKinney:  The North Collin County Genealogical Society will host Mr. Lloyd Bockstruck.  Mr. Bockstruck will be speaking about "Genealogy in South Carolina: The Palmetto State."  This program is FREE and open to all.
 
Wednesday, May 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Haggard Public Library, 2501 Coit Rd., Plano: The Collin County Genealogical Society presents Dr. Richard McCaslin (of the University of North Texas) speaking about "The Great Gainesville Hanging."  This program is FREE and open to all.
 
Saturday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m. in the Roy and Helen Hall Memorial Library, 101 East Hunt Street, McKinney: The Genealogy Department presents: "How to Research Your House" by Mr. Guy Giersch.  Mr. Giersch is the Historic Preservation Officer for the City of McKinney.  If you are interested in receiving Historic Designation for your home or are just interested in learning about how to find information on the history of your house, come to this free presentation.
 
Saturday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m.  in the Haggard Public Library, 2501 Coit Rd., Plano: The Genealogy Friends of Plano Libraries, Inc. will present “ Exploring Your Ancestry with DNA". The speaker will be David Pitts.  This program is FREE and open to all.
